The anticipation surrounding Deadpool & Wolverine has only just begun, but Marvel is already looking ahead to their next big project - and it involves none other than director Shawn Levy! According to recent reports from Deadline, Marvel and Levy are in early conversations about helming Avengers 5 , which was previously reported to be titled The Kang Dynasty . However, due to Jonathon Majors' assault conviction, it seems that the studio is considering a change of plans.
While we're still months away from seeing how Deadpool & Wolverine will fare at the box office, it's clear that Marvel has faith in Levy's direction - or at least wants him on board for their next big adventure. As reported by Deadline, Levy has been gifted with the latest screenplay from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron, but he hasn't yet made a decision about taking the film.
It seems that Marvel is covering all bases, meeting with other directors while they wait to hear back from Levy. His plate is already full with the final season of Stranger Things , as well as a Star Wars project - so only time will tell if he'll take on the challenge of directing Avengers 5 .
